Design and build is an established and successful method of producing modern, efficient and economical buildings. We are often requested to join design teams at an early stage in order to provide advice and preliminary scheme information. This ensures that design methods can be established, costs predicted and the maximum ‘buildability’ achieved for the particular project.
The continuing skills shortage within the building industry dictates that more and more projects are built using modern methods of construction.
Designing and manufacturing buildings with the controlled environment of a factory produces structures that are dimensionally accurate. This combined with the fast erection times (a typical house can be watertight in 5 days), less callbacks and the removal of the brickwork from the critical path has encouraged many contractors to switch to timber frame construction.
We have worked with many contractors on projects such as hotels, student accommodation and care homes.
We regularly work with developers such as Persimmon Homes, Charles Church, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Homes and Bellway.
